Ziva sat in her room, she had never felt such relief to be safely at home.Her dark brown eyes gazed around at every part of her bedroom, she sighed.She had only got out of the hospital a few hours ago and had fallen asleep once she had been dropped back at her apartment. Ziva looked up quickly and wide eyed as her bedroom door opened.Her eye's met Tony's as a smile came onto his face "Your awake, thank God" he said. Ziva smiled slightly "Well if me sleeping is that concerning I'll stay awake..." she said.Tony looked down to the floor "No that's alright...I'll leave you in peace now" he said and then turned, getting ready to leave Ziva's apartment.A jolt of fear shot through Ziva, something unusual for her "Wait,Tony!" she said.Tony turned around to face Ziva once again, looking slightly shocked by the former Mossad agent's reaction.


Ziva blushed slightly,feeling childish "Umm...Stay..with me?" she whispered, fear gripping her again.Tony tried to stop a smile from coming onto his face, not wanting to have left Ziva anyway "I guess I can..." he said,walking over to Ziva's bedside. Ziva watched Tony take every step, fighting back the tears welling in her eyes as the memories of Somalia came back into her mind. Ziva's attempt to stop her tears was in vain.The moment Tony sat down on the bedside next to Ziva, she hugged Tony and burst into tears.Tony hugged Ziva back, knowing he had no idea what terrible things had happened to Ziva in the amount of time she had been away from him and everyone else at NCIS."It's okay....I'm here..." he said,comfortingly. Ziva continued to cry, burying her facein Tony's shirt "Tony..." she sobbed.Tony hugged Ziva a bit more, it was agonizing seeing Ziva in such a state. Ziva's hands were clenched into Tony's shirt, she wanted to be sure he was there and that she wasn't dreaming.Tony rubbed Ziva's back gently and let her cry for as long as she needed to.After a while, Ziva's breathing had calmed and she looked up to Tony "Tony.." she whispered.Tony looked down to Ziva, their eyes meeting "Yes Ziva?" he whispered back. Ziva was silent for a few moments that seemed to last forever "Thank you...for rescuing me..." she whispered.Tony smiled,still looking into Ziva's eyes "Well it's like I said before Zi...I Couldn't live without ya..." he said. Ziva smiled slightly, feeling a bit better and safer with Tony.


There was a long silence as Ziva and Tony looked deep into one another's eyes, neither wanted nor knew what to say to one another.In a sense all that needed to be said was in their eyes. Ziva felt a blush rising up onto her cheeks "So you'll stay with me..." she said, looking down to her bed sheets for a few seconds.Tony looked down to Ziva's hands "As long as you want me here..." he said.Tony let his left hand reach out and gently hold Ziva's right hand. Ziva looked to Tony,smiling slightly.Tony smiled "Come on you need sleep" he said and lay on the side of the bed next to Ziva. Ziva continued to hold Tony's hand and rested beside him, her hand that Tony held on his chest.Tony's eyes were closed, he knew this might make Ziva try going back to sleep. Ziva smiled and cuddled up to Tony. Ziva looked up to Tony's face and smiled, she couldn't help herself as she looked at the man who had rescued her just hours earlier.Tony felt he was being watched and opened one eye lazily, looking into Ziva's dark brown eyes.Ziva smiled and leaned a bit closer to Tony, resting slightly on top of him "You know I never got to thank you properly for saving me..." she whispered, inches away from him now.Tony looked into Ziva's eyes questioningly,feeling her breath on him.


Ziva smiled and leaned down, kissing Tony gently on the lips.Tony kissed back with the same amount of gentleness that Ziva was.After a few seconds the two broke apart to catch their breath. Ziva moved back off from being on top of Tony and cuddled up to him again.Tony made sure the covers were over Ziva so she didn't get cold and Ziva put the covers over Tony "Night Tony..." she whispered.Tony smiled "Night..." he whispered.After a few minutes the two were asleep.
